Truly enjoyed my great stay for a value for money for an one night stay. the food was well priced and delicious. - the rooms were all quiet and bright with three beds. - the hotel was really close to the two bus terminals and a huge shopping centre and supermarket about 5 minutes away, and Christchurch.

Had a blast playing darts and table tennis, felt like a true Kiwi at the vintage bar. Loved the free bikes and easy access to buses. Definitely a unique experience!

I always stay at this hotel in Christchurch. The staff helped me find my way the first time. It has everything I need: Free Wi-Fi, Car park, Flat-screen TV, Lift, Electric kettle. Can't wait to come back for Christmas!

I chose New City for its perfect location near the Canterbury Earthquake National Memorial. The hotel pleasantly surprised me with its paid airport shuttle service and convenient amenities like laundry facilities and luggage storage. I especially enjoyed relaxing with a refreshing drink at one of the 2 bars/lounges and preparing my own meals in the shared kitchen.

Best kept Secret in the heart of the city. This iconic hotel built in 1930 offers a spotless room with top-rate beds and the best pillows I've had in years of travel. The complimentary 1gig wireless, great shower, wide range of TV channels, and generous tea and coffee provisions were all appreciated. The attentive staff, complimentary car park, and convenient laundry facilities made it a wonderful stay. Buses and eating facilities just meters away in the Shopping Mall.

The staff were entertaining and engaging, keeping our little ones entertained throughout our stay. They organized exciting games, arts and crafts sessions, and even mini-shows in the evenings. Our children absolutely loved it!

For dads, it would be great if the hotel had a larger family room option.
